What is the Baseline Security Assessment?
The First Step to Better Cybersecurity: The Baseline Security Assessment
Improving cybersecurity around the office is a great goal to have for the new year but figuring out where to start is a common obstacle faced by many businesses. That's where we come in!
While it's a good thing that most people are now familiar with terms like "phishing" and "malware", human error is still the number one risk factor in cybersecurity. Like it or not, we all have our areas of weakness and best way to improve in those areas is to identify them first. Starting with the free Baseline Security Assessment from Fuller Information Technology, you will be able to pinpoint the deficiencies in your company's cybersecurity and ultimately be shown the best way to increase security and boost your employee's knowledge of cyber risks. This free assessment provides you with the information you need to make the best decision for your business going forward.
So how does it work?
Delivered via a unique URL to all employees, the assessment has everyone answer a series of 60 questions across six different categories to gauge their current cybersecurity awareness posture. Categories include: General Knowledge, Phishing Awareness, Password Hygiene, Handling Personal Identifiable Information, Social Media and Working Remotely. After employees complete their assessment, their results are recorded along with the overall time taken to complete it. A results report provides the average score across all employees who completed the assessment, as well as their individual scores. The report even breaks down each of the six categories to show management where their employees are struggling the most.
The results of the assessment should be carefully reviewed to determine proper training paths for the overall organization, and any specific training requirements for an individual user. If you are unsatisfied with the results of the assessment or want to start eliminating cybersecurity risks in your office, Fuller Information Technology offers additional training to mitigate some of your biggest risk factors. Additionally, this training can cover a common requirement for cybersecurity insurance.
